Vintage Parisian French Rococo Tension Pole Lamp Cherubs & Vianne Glass Shades

  

VINTAGE PARISIAN FRENCH ROCOCO TENSION POLE LAMP CHERUBS & VIANNE GLASS SHADES. THIS IS A VERY UNIQUE AND RARE FIND.

I BELIEVE IT IS FROM THE 1940'S. THE POLE MEASURES ABOUT 100 AND IS ADJUSTABLE TO FIT DIFFERENT CEILING HEIGHTS.

ALL THE POLE PIECES ARE THERE AND THE SPRING IN THE POLE OPERATES PROPERLY. THE CORD AND ELECTRICAL WIRING IS ALL THERE AND THE THREE WAY AND ALL LIGHTS WORK BUT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND A PROFESSIONAL INSPECT FOR SAFETY REASONS. THE ORIGINAL VIANNE GLASS SHADE MEASURES ABOUT 9" TALL AND 6" ACROSS. EACH CHERUB ANGEL MEASURES ABOUT 7.5" X 5".

THE PICTURES REALLY DON'T DO IT JUSTICE. THE POLE IS A GOLD/BRASS AND CREME COLOR. THERE IS MANY SCRATCHES AND CHIPS WHICH MAKE IT VERY SHABBY CHIC. IT COULD USE A VERY GOOD CLEANING BUT DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE NEW OWNER WOULD LIKE. THE CHERUBS/ANGELS ALSO HAVE DISCOLORING/DIRT AND A FEW CHIPS IN THE PAINT AS WELL.

I BELIEVE THE CHERUBS ARE PORCELAIN COATED OR HEAVY PAINT ON TOP OF A CAST METAL BUT NOT SURE WHAT KIND. THEY ARE VERY HEAVY AS IS THE WHOLE LAMP. ALL THREE SHADES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS ONE MAY HAVE A SMALL CHIP BUT I BELIEVE IT IS JUST THE WAY IT WAS MANUFACTURED.
