30 Antique Unique Tree Trunk Lamp Base + Grape Leaded Shade -possible shipping

  
For sale is a leaded lamp shade and antique lamp base combination. The base is the classic tree trunk with twisted roots and was made by or for the Unique Art Glass an. It apperars to be cast spelter with a patinated copper finish. The base is the largest one in this style and stands 30.5 inches tall.

The diameter of the base at the bottom is 11.25 inches. The underside of the base has an x-crossed cast iron counterweight screwed into a threaded iron pipe going to the top. I did not take the bottom apart to look for any markings.

Unique did not mark their bases or shades. The shade has a grape vine motif going around the bottom and has 6 rows of an in-line brick pattern above. It resembles a John Morgan shade shown on Leaded Lamps. Com, but that is up to you to verify. The shade is 24" in diameter and is 11.75" high.

The shade is in excellent condition and has approx. 11 hard to find breaks of glass, all towards the bottom of the shade. There are more than 600 pieces of glass to this shade.

The finial on the lamp is not original but has a glass ball grape? On top and somewhat goes with the motif. It is a beautiful combination and will impress. I will drop it off if you choose either of the latter two.
