What a gorgeous pair of lamps!! Walter Von Nessen created some of the most iconic Mid Century Modern Lighting and this pair is a shining example! Made by Nessen Lighting, they still retain the original tag on the bottom of the base with the Bronx NY address. The chrome is in really great condition with no pitting. The shades have yellowed slightly, and have some very minor flea bites along the bottom edges.

One shade has a scuff around the bottom and the other has damage at the top where it mounts to the lamp. Looks like it was probably from having too high a wattage bulb installed. They each takes one bulb - no wattage is indicated, but I'd be very careful with the plastic shade to keep the wattage quite low and avoid further damage.

The cords are nice and flexible and the switches works well. Even with the damage to the shades, these display beautifully.

They would also look spectacular with a nice simple drum shade. The bases are 5" across and the lamps measure 19" in height. The shades are 11.5 across. I have another of this same style Nessen lamp listed as well.
