Rare large antique 1920s French silk lamp shade in ivory color with polychrome flowers & bow.. Meticulously constructed, this exceptionally beautiful lamp shade is intricately detailed, featuring layers of ruffled pleated French net lace along the bottom & top edges, pleated silk chiffon along the bottom edge, and wide French embroidery net lace around the top half of the shade. It is finished off with silk ribbon trim all around the top & bottom perimeter and a large ribbon work focal point showcasing silk ribbon flowers, greenery with French knots, and large bow. This lampshade is much larger than typically found, & is in great condition, 2 factors that make this antique French silk & ribbon work lampshade rare..

Generously proportioned, measures 11&1/2 diameter along the bottom, 6&1/4" diameter along the top, & 10&1/2" tall, including the lace along the bottom. In overall very well-preserved, very goo-excellent condition with yellowing, a few scraggly threads, mild soilage, and superficial scratches along the metalwork.
