Rare Vtg 1950s Atomic Majestic Lamps Fiberglass Shades Retro Mid Century Modern

  
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a stellar pair of vintage Majestic table lamps that date back to the 1950s. The atomic looking bases on both lamps are metal, and each houses two cylindrical fiberglass shades. Both lamps have four metal legs, each of which culminates in a round gold atomic ball. There is a decorative vertical brass rod on each base that screws into the base. The fiberglass shades are the typical beige color with random horizontal gold lines painted throughout and gold lanyard stitching along the tops, bottoms and vertical seams.

The shades thread directly onto the light sockets. Each lamp has an inline on/off switch, and the lamps both have two light setting intensities for setting the mood. Measurements: Each lamp stands approx. 20 tall (from the ground surface to the top of the central brass rod).

The distance between the legs is approx. 16.5" wide x 9" deep. The gold balls on the ends of each of the four legs are approx. When attached, the distance to the top of the shades is approx. 17 high, and the distance to the bottom of the shade from the ground surface up is approx.

The shades themselves measure 12" tall x 6" in diameter. Condition: Overall both lamps are in great condition. There is minor paint loss to the black metal.

It's so minor we left it alone. Winning purchaser may want to touch it up, but we'll leave that up to your discretion. There are no dents, dings, repairs, etc. The shades are in fantastic shape - all they could use is a gentle cleaning. There are no rips, holes, tears, repairs, burn marks, etc. All of the lacing appears to be there, and it looks original as well. The electrical wiring appears to be in great shape - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting and electronics, we recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long term use.
