The shade is what we call a Tulip shape. This shade is approximately 5 1/4" tall at its highest point and the mouth of the shade is 5 3/8" in diameter. This shade will fit into any standard 2 1/4 fitter cup. The shade resembles a Tulip shape.

It is made of pink stained glass that is slumped or bent. These are commonly called slag glass shades.

There are 4 of these panels. It is then wrapped in a brass channel and soldered together. There is decorative floral banding that is soldered over the joining panels. The inside of the glass is heavy granite while the outside is smooth. The top of the shade is finished with a round fitter ring that fits any standard 2 1/4 fitter. The shade is the quality level of The Handel Lamp Company of Meriden, CT. The shade is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no crack or chips to the pink stained glass. The fitter area is a little wavy but nothing that would affect the way it sits inside of a fitter.

This shade is perfect for a wall sconce or single light table lamp with the same 2 1/4 fitter. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy. CLEMENTS ANTIQUES OF NEW HAMPSHIRE STOREFRONT.
