VIntage 50s Atomic UFO Saucer Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Lighting

  
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing atomic era UFO / Saucer lamp. The rounded fiberglass shade that rests on top to deflect the light has three metal attachment points, and is removable (see photo). All of the fiberglass is beige, and it has random white ribbon-like paint designs on it, along with random gold square glitter (again, see photos)....

The base is constructed of metal with another fiberglass insert that surrounds the light socket. The metal base is a tripod, with each of the feet ending in rubber caps. The on/off rotary knob switch is located on the bottom of the light socket. We are uncertain as to the maker - there doesn't appear to be any indicators anywhere on the lamp itself.

It'll make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic themed dwelling! With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The upper round shade measures approx.

12" in diameter x 2.75" tall. The lower portion of the lamp base measures approx. 9.5" tall x 5.25" wide x 5.25 deep. The distance between the legs at the bottom of the lamp measure approx.

Condition: The lamp appears to be in very good condition. There is a small amount of black color loss on the metal - nothing major whatsoever, but being mentioned for accuracy.

The fiberglass could use a gentle cleaning. There are a few old moisture marks on the round top shade that should definitely come out, as well as some dust from age. Aside from that, the fiberglass is free from rips, holes, tears, burn marks, etc. The lacing on the top shade is intact. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp - there are no frays, splits or exposed / brittle wires. Aside from that, it is in fully-functioning, working order.
