Vintage Holmegaard Helios Lamp white glass table lamp & shade Arne Branzell 1986
This beautiful art glass lamp dates to the early 1980's and was designed by Arne Branzell for Holmegaard in 1984. The lamp is created from opaque white opal glass with long included tear drop shaped air bubbles placed at even intervals around the piece. The top has a brushed silver metal top. Arne Branzell is a celebrated art glass artist having worked as a designer at Kosta, then Kosta Boda, Orrefors and Holmegaard before opening his own studio in 1987.
The lamp base is the medium size produced and has been rewired to meet Australian standards. The original Danish lamp holder has been replaced by a new fitting compatible with commercially available shades here.
The vintage pleated shade has a darkened mark to the top of the pleats as shown. This is only noticed on close up viewing and we feel the pretty shade works well with the lamp. The plug has been changed to a three pin plug and the whole piece has been checked and tagged by a qualified electrician. The power cord is white and is switched inline. The lamp base is approximately 21cm tall to the top of the glass section.The base measures approximately 15.5cm in diameter. It measures 360mm to the top of the shade. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The original sticker is still on the base as shown.
It must be used in Australia only, and if bought for international use the power plug will be cut off. For International sales please note the power cord will be cut off short requiring the lamp to be rewired in your country due to safety regulations.
