The saucer shade is held in place by a brass ring (see photos). The lamp has a concentric brass metal component on the underside of the saucer shade which keeps the saucer in place. The lamp rests atop three brass legs which end in round brass atomic ball feet. There is an on/off pull chain for functionality.
We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present. We've had this lamp in our personal collection for years, and now it is time to allow someone else to get some enjoyment out of it. It has always been the center of conversation. Alas, it's time for it to blast off to a new home!
14" tall x 12" wide (width of saucer shade) x 12 deep (depth of saucer shade). The cone portion of the shade is approx.
6" tall x 5" in diameter (opening). The distance between the legs is approx.
CONDITION : Overall the lamp is in very good condition. There are no cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The fiberglass has no burn marks or discoloration. The green color is still nice and vibrant throughout. The edge of the saucer shade shows the tiniest amount of edge wear (see photos) - nothing distracting whatsoever, but being mentioned for accuracy.
The electrical wiring appears to be original, and it is in fine shape - no frays, splits, exposed and or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect before long-term use.
