VTG Pair 1950s 50s MCM Puccini Ice Skaters Fiberglass Shades Chalkware Lamps

  
This is an amazing set! I've never seen ice skating chalk lamps, nor have I ever seen icicles on fiberglass shades. I've had these for decades, and have added to the mica "snow" on them twice. It is always flecking off.

I dab on Elmer's glue, then sprinkle the mica flakes. Made by Puccini Art Novelty Co. 34" tall and 12" wide. The chalk part of the bases are 16" tall, 7" wide, and 6 deep.

The girl skater is missing part of her thumb. The shades have some corners where the fiberglass is a little dry and crumbly, but it is all stable. I relaced these a few years ago, when the original "cat gut" lacing fell apart. Each base has a hairline crack horizontally across the middle.

They were never broken and reglued--the crack appears to be just on the surface. These came from an estate in Buffalo, NY, in the 80s.
