Signed Contemporary Artisan created, Octagonal, hand painted Gothic Mica Lampshade with Sinew Lace. Suitable for very large table lamps and typical antique floor lamps. Beautiful vintage style shade constructed of high quality mica, steel frame, fiber sinew, and durable hand painted design. Shade body made of tinted almond/ silver mica with black painted design.
Merritte's custom made mica lampshades handmade in Pasadena California USA since 1996. Shade measures 12" top, 18" bottom and 11 tall measured flat panel to flat panel, slightly larger at the corners. I spend days making a shade like this, it adds to the importance of the object.
