Marbro Porcelain Vase Aquatic Asian Table Lamps Pair Vintage Shades Chinoiserie. Lamps to top of sockets: 25.5. Lamps to top of finials: 34.5. Weight (not including cords or shades): 6 lbs. Shades: 15" tall, 11.25 x 11.25" at top, 13.25 x 13.25 at bottom. They have been tested to make sure they work, and are set for three-way bulbs. One lamp has the original parts, and one lamp. Has been newly rewired with a 3-way socket and cord with a polarized plug. I kept on the original socket shell, so even though the socket is new, it still has the original label. They are made from porcelain vases, with metal tops and a wood base with metal feet. Each piece of porcelain has the same aquatic scene, with lily pads, flowers, birds and fish. They are made from molds, and you can see a line on each one from where the molds connected. The detail in each scene is from a transfer and then hand colored in. The porcelain by itself is 16.25.

They are glued to the base, so I cant check to see if they have a Chinese or Japanese mark. One lamp has a braided section glued around the base, and the other does not. It doesnt look like its missing- just never put on. The lamp with the braided section has some crazing in the paint on the base, and the other does not. Overall, they are in good condition, with some small chips on the bases.

The shades have yellow and gray trim to match the color of the lamps. One shade has a bunch of tiny stain spots, and the other has some dark smudges (see photos). _gsrx_vers_625 GS 6.9.7 (625).
