Pair Vintage 1950s MCM Lime Chartreuse Gold Beehive Fiberglass Shades Lamps

  

This is a wonderful and slightly absurd pair. Nothing says 1950s like beehive-hairdo-shaped fiberglass shades! I've never seen shades so elaborately made! The fiberglass is cream, with green and brown hatch marks.

The bases are bright lime green or chartreuse. They have bright gold flecks on top of the ceramic. No chips or cracks in the bases.

The fiberglass shades have been restitched in a few inconspicuous places, but with the same black color, so it isn't really noticeable unless you are looking for it. The rings the fiberglass hangs from have surface rust, but they are structurally sound and not really visible behind the fiberglass.
