RARE VINTAGE 50s MAJESTIC LAMP FIBERGLASS SHADES MID CENTURY MODERN RETRO ATOMIC

  
For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing and rare vintage MAJESTIC table lamp complete with its original accompanying fiberglass shades. The lamp dates back to the 1950s. The base is constructed of different sized black crescent boomerang accents, and there are two swooping brass arms that extend up to the shades. The lower of the two brass arms dissects through the lowest black crescent at the top (see photos). The fiberglass shades are cylindrical in shape, and they are beige in color with a black paint drizzle design randomly running throughout each.

Measurements: With the fiberglass shades attached, the lamp stands an incredible 38.25 tall. The central black lacquered crescent accent measures approx.

22.25" tall, the lower crescent 11.25" tall, and the smallest crescent towards the top 20 tall. The distance to the lower of the two light sockets is approx. 14 high from the bottom of the base, and that of the upper socket is approx. Each of the fiberglass shades measures 17" tall with an 8" diameter. The diameter of the round black base measures just slightly over 8.

Condition: Both the base and shades are very clean. Overall only the smallest amount of wear that we'd consider commensurate with age and use. There are a couple of very minor areas at at the bottom edge of the base where the paint has flaked - it's barely noticeable at all, but we are mentioning it to be accurate (see photos). The brass is nice and shiny - no dents, dings, bends, breaks, rust, oxidation, etc.

The shades are in excellent condition - no rips, holes, tears, stains, etc. All of the lacing is intact, and it looks to be original. The electrical wiring is in great condition - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. The on/off knob is located at the top of the round base, and it is wired to give the lamp three-way functionality - one twist, one shade lights up, another twist, and the other shade lights up, and a third twist, both shades light up at the same time.

What makes this lamp very interesting is that it all has a serial number etched into the bottom of the base - E24854 (see photos). Seldom is this seen in these lamps. Local pick-ups for also welcome.
