The black wood accent pieces form a series of four triangular wedges that alternate from side to side, and they decrease in size from top to bottom. The fiberglass shades are beige, and they have overlapping gold and white triangle patterns scattered throughout which echo the black triangular accent pieces. There is an on/off rotary switch located on the rectangular black wooden base, and it provides the lamp with 3-way functionality - one turn lights up one socket, another turn lights up the other socket, and a third turn lights them both up at the same time. The lamp has green felt on the bottom of the base, and there is also a serial number etched into the base: E24854.
We've been collecting these lamps for years, and only a small handful of times have we come across them with the model number etched into the base. Measurements: With the shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 38" tall x 16" wide (at its widest point). The rectangular black base measures 8.25" wide x 5.5" deep x 1.75 thick.
The lower shade measures approx. 16.5 tall (measured from the spine side where it attaches to the base), and the upper shades measures approx. 13.5 tall (again, measured from the spine side). Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition. The brass is shiny - no pitting, rust, oxidation, etc.It shows a gentle patina commensurate with age and use. The black wooden accents have a few scratches here and there, but they hardly detract (see photos). There is no paint missing, chipping, peeling off, etc.
The fiberglass shades are in good shape. The upper shade has a small 1 tear towards the rear side just behind the upright brass rod of the base.
At first we didn't notice it, but it is there, and we are mentioning it for accuracy. Again, it's hardly detectable and isn't seen when viewing the lamp from the front (see photos). The lacing on the shade looks old, but we're not sure it was replaced at one point in time. While the lacing is all intact, we'd recommend redoing it so that it is taut, especially towards the top rings where the fiberglass looks like it slightly curls over the top of the metal ring (see photos).
Again, doesn't really detract, but is being mentioned for accuracy. The shades are free from burns, repairs, etc.The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we'd strongly recommend having a licensed professional check the lamp prior to long term use. It's ready for a new home!
