Vintage Nader / Peter Marsh Chunk Glass Hanging Lamp Shade Mid Century Brutalist. Beautiful chunk glass lamp shade or votive candle holder unmarked, most likely made by Nader circa 1950s or 1960s. Some rust around the top edge suggests this might have been hung on a patio at one time. Glass is all intact, but these should not be accessible to little hands as the glass is not smooth on the edges and in some cases, is quite sharp.
Exceptional color combinations of cobalt, teal, green, red, orange, purple, amber and rose. Comes with the original cross-bracket attached with two nuts to the body. These shades can be electrified, but I've recently taken to using rechargeable solar light strings from Ikea or similar in these types of lamps to create a lovely, soft glow in an indoor window. Note that while this piece is solid, it's actually super heavy and will be easily broken if dropped, so handle with care. Chips, internal cracks in the glass, and small gaps in the lead are common in all of these lamps, with similar imperfections part of the picture here.
This round globe measures about 6-1/2 across at the widest point and it weighs a whopping 5+ pounds on its own. If you plan to electrify this, know that these smaller globes can accommodate only the smallest of bulbs, like for nightlights...
And even that's cutting it close. Typically, you'll find your item gently wrapped in paper sans tape, surrounded by lots of loose-fill popcorn to absorb shock during transit.
