Description: For sale a beautiful vintage pair of blue glass hurricane lamp shades are ca 40 to 50 years old. Most probably they are older. These rare hand blown shades are in a beautiful turquoise colour. Have beautiful ruffles (an uncommon design) and ring well on gentle tapping. Reproductions of the ones made for the colonial empire markets. Such shades were used in hallways, club houses, town hall, religious places of worship, wealthy homes etc. Originally designed for candles placed inside they can be used as electric shades.
