Rather than being round there is a slight oblong shape to it, but I almost think that is either intended or simply made that way out of necessity due to the shape of the vellum. It is possible it was "squashed" a little and may squash back but I personally wouldn't risk it for fear or tearing the vellum. The texture is hardened bubbles. There are hundreds and possibly thousands of half inch gold toned glitter/confetti strands. It is held to the frame with what appears to be gold-toned painted flat leather thread. It is roughly 17 inches in diameter at the top and 19 at the bottom, and just shy of 11 inches in height. The vellum is rip-, crack-, dent-, scratch-, sag-, bulge-, stretch-, and wrinkle-free, and has a fair amount of flexibility and relatively low brittleness, but is still tight and fragile.
