Vintage Maria Kipp Lampshade Woven Bamboo Quartite Creative Corp Lamp 1960 Eames

  

This is a beautiful, large Maria Kipp woven bamboo lampshade with a Quartite Creative ceramic/stone lamp, dated 1960. The lampshade is in very good condition for its age, there is only one bamboo reed that has a slight crack in it, barely noticeable and the ends of 3 of the reeds on one side are slightly warped. There are indentions here and there all over the lamp in the bamboo which is common in Maria Kipp shades of this age. Measures 16" x 16" in diameter.

The lamp is also a thing of beauty but has a few areas where the paint has chipped. The colors of the lamp and shade go incredibly well together.

The paint chips could also be fixed. Overall this is a wonderful piece of MCM history.
