Pair Vintage French Ledger Decoupage Lampshades Square Empire Large 15 Inch

  

This is a beautiful set of two large square empire lampshades with a unique French ledger decoupage design. These pieces were acquired over thirty years ago for a professional interior design studio and have been well-maintained in a smoke-free environment.

Each shade features a distressed parchment appearance covered in elegant French handwriting, merchant stamps, and financial notations, providing a sophisticated, old-world aesthetic. The shades are constructed as hardbacks with a dark black interior that directs light primarily through the top and bottom, perfect for creating mood lighting. Each side measures 15 inches at the bottom and stands 10 inches tall. They utilize a standard brass-tone washer fitter, intended for use with a harp. Both shades are in great vintage condition. There is some light expected aging to the edges and surfaces as shown in the detailed photographs, which adds to the authentic antique character of the pieces.
