Vintage Signed Emeralite Pinwheel Tam-O-Shanter Glass Lamp Shade

  

Here is a very nice and very hard to find vintage signed Emeralite Pinwheel Tam-O-Shanter glass lamp shade. Shade measures about 9 7/8" diameter at the foot, about 11 1/2" maximum diameter and about 4 1/4 diameter at the top. The shade is about 6 3/8 tall. It is in excellent condition overall. There is a shallow flake to top edge measuring about 3/16 across (see photo).

There is a triangular chip to the foot measuring about 1/4" by 14". It does not extend beyond the foot. There are multiple other small shallow flakes to the ground edge of the foot which may be mostly in the making (see photos). The largest of these measure about 3/16 across.

There are scattered light surface marks to outside surface. On very close examination there are some areas where there appear to be horizontal striations in the glass, probably done in the making (somewhat visible in first photo). There is a tiny indent in the white glass at top opening, probably a burst bubble in the making (see photo). There are several tiny dark specks in the white on the underside, done in the making.

There is at least one small enclosed bubble, not more than 1/8 across. There may be other very minor issues not specifically enumerated above. The shade is signed "Austria Emeralite Trade Mark".
