VTG 1920's Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Glass Shade PROJECT Piece Yellow Green 20

  

This VTG Arts & Crafts Style Leaded Slag Glass Shade is a vintage 1920's project piece with a round, 20-inch diameter design in yellow and green colors. This handmade Dome formed lamp shade embodies the Mission Arts and Crafts Style popular during the early 1900s, featuring a unique glass panel made of slag glass set in lead came.

I found it in the top of an old barn covered in black soot and it was so fun to clean it and see the bright colors. Some of the pieces were gone but I also found a few pieces that had fallen out after storage.

I'm so glad the original owners didn't toss it. Perfect for collectors or those looking to add a vintage touch to their lighting fixtures, this original piece captures the essence of the Arts and Crafts movement with its intricate leaded design and vibrant color palette. It is a great project for restoration, glass replacement or decorative use. 3 large upper panels are missing along with 14 small vertical panels that include the loose pieces shown.
