Vintage Holmegaard Symmestrisk Lamp Art 1 glass table lamp & shade Michael Bang
Holmegaard Lamp Art 1 Lamp. This beautiful art glass lamp dates to the 70's or early 80's and was designed by Michael Bang for Holmegaard. The lamp is created from opaque white opal glass with a hand applied randomized design of an inky blue black swirl. The design is from the Lamp Art Symmetrisk range and this one is No 1, there are 4 sizes with 3 colourways.
The colours and design in this colourway are closely aligned to the'Atlantis' series (also by Bang and produced around the same time), alongside which this lamp looks stunning. As every design is hand applied, every piece is unique. The original Danish lamp holder has been replaced by a new fitting compatible with commercially available shades here. However we have placed a brand new Danish PVC pleated shade with a clip on bulb fitting to the lamp. The plug has been changed to a three pin plug and the whole piece has been checked and tagged by a qualified electrician. The power cord is white and is switched inline. The lamp base is approximately 21cm tall to the top of the glass section.The base measures approximately 15.5cm in diameter. Total height including the shade is 40cm.
It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The original sticker is still on the base as shown. It must be used in Australia only, and if bought for international use the power plug will be cut off. For International sales please note the power cord will be cut off short requiring the lamp to be rewired in your country due to safety regulations. Please note this item is original and not a copy or modern day reproduction.
